The Maternity Brands Doing it Right

So you’ve just discovered you’re expecting, which has probably filled you with joy and excitement. But now you’ve realised that most maternity clothes leave alot to be desired.

When you’re expecting you shouldn’t have to choose between style and comfort. Yes, your body will be changing daily and weekly, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t remain looking stylish.

At Poppie & George we believe having a bump shouldn’t make you feel like a frump. With this in mind we’ve revealed the maternity brands you’ll love to wear while pregnant and beyond.

Seraphine

Created by super stylish Parisian founder Cecile Reinaud, Seraphine is a luxury, desginer maternity brand.

As well as including all your must need items to support your ever expanding bump, Seraphine have an array of pieces that can help you feel fabulous. From animal print dresses, pleated midi skirts, and smart shirts.

With new collections released each season there’s choice, which is a rarity in maternity wear.

We would highly recommend following them on instagram, as they’ve been dressing bumps all over Hollywood and for red carpet events.

Mamalicious

Mamaliciou first made an appearance in UK department stores but their website provides a much larger collection than the highstreet.

With a cool danish edge, the clothing is appealing beyond the need for maternity wear, making it an ideal brand to wear post-baby.

The Mamalicious colour palette tends to be very scandi, with cool grey and nude tones, but with a great mix of prints. A few favourites of ours include their stunning Woven Maternity Dress, and their practical 2-in-1 nursing dresses.

Envie De Fraise

After wine and cheese, the next best thing from France has to be Envie De Fraise.

With full a wardrobe of pieces, you can find an outfit for any occasion to dress your bump. They have everything from chic dresses, tops and pyjamas to swimwear, and underwear.

As they have no set ‘style’ you can find pieces that suit your own taste. Whether you’re minimalist, or a fan a bold, colourful prints.

Envie De Fraise also have a celebrity following, with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway all papped in their pieces.

Noppies

You may have only just heard of this brand, but Noppies has been designing maternity clothing for over 20 years.

They really know what they’re doing when it comes to well-designed bump-wear, which means you can expect classic everyday pieces and alternative patterns at just a click of the button.

Compared to other luxury designer brands they are also a reasonable price, which is ideal when you may not be wearing each piece post baby.

However, Noppies does have a strong range which can easily transition from pregnancy to post-baby body.

The added extra has to be their super cute baby clothes, so while shopping for yourself you can also pick up a few pieces for your pending arrival.
